I was born in 1962 in a small village in Belgium. Initially trained as a civil engineer in computer science with a specialization in AI and industrial management, my path soon led me beyond technology into the heart of humanitarian work. Joining the early pioneers of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), I worked in refugee camps in Sudan and helped prevent nutritional crises in Mali. Over the past 25 years, I have traveled extensively across West and East Africa, witnessing both the depths of human suffering and the resilience of the human spirit.
Returning to Europe, I sought to understand the root causes of the conflicts, wars, and hardships I had encountered. This quest led me to become a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, diving deep into the complexities of human nature and relational dynamics. For over 30 years, I have worked in private practice, rehabilitation centers, therapeutic communities, and psychiatric hospitals across Belgium and Africa, continually enriching my understanding of the human soul—its wounds, struggles, and immense capacity for renewal.
In my forties, profound spiritual experiences reawakened my Christian faith, shaping my journey into one of integration—blending psychological insight with spiritual mentoring. Alongside my professional work, I embraced a life of silence and solitude, deepening my connection with God and refining the guidance I offer.
Seventeen years ago, I returned to Africa and now reside in Kenya with my son, stepping into a new phase of life with Omega Mentoring Voices. My hope is that my lifelong experience—both personal and professional—can serve as a transformative journey for those seeking both psychological healing and spiritual growth. Beyond that, I look forward to seeing more and more Omega Mentors emerge, finding their Light and their Voice.

I am Dr. Bill Sinkele, an American and Kenyan citizen who has lived in Kenya for 28 years. I was a Catholic priest for 32 years before receiving a dispensation. In 2005, I married a Kenyan woman who, sadly, passed away in 2007. Since then, I have been a single parent to six Kenyan stepchildren and three Rwandan genocide survivors, all now adults.
I hold a Doctorate in Ministry from the Catholic University of America, specializing in spirituality and psychology. With 37 years of personal recovery from alcohol addiction, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to addiction recovery. I currently serve as the Executive Director of SAPTA (Support for Addictions Prevention and Treatment in Africa), working to transform lives through compassionate, evidence-based addiction care.
